Nicholas Mills - Producer

Nicholas is a dedicated independent sound/media/visual artist and independent arts and music event producer, based in Far North Queensland, Australia. Currently, he is director/producer of On Edge, he runs the artist run venue Arthouse, and produces the ongoing multi-arts series Mixed Grill.
Nicholas is also working consistently on a variety of new artistic projects, including a series of new video works, new music projects, and producing performance works. In 2014, he will be touring the theatre production Cherry Tree Creek, and new music/cabaret act The Don Johnson/Butlers to the Brisbane Fringe Festival.
Nicholas has also worked alongside various performing artists and arts companies, including an ongoing collaboration with indigenous artist Zane Saunders, including recent inclusion in the Adelaide Festival's 'Four Rooms' exhibition, plus collaborations with hybrid inter-media collective Bonemap.
He recently formed the improvisational trio The Presentation, with Papua New Guinea artist Markham Galut, and Indigenous percusssionist Darren Blackman.
Through previously formal roles, Nicholas has established critical cultural events including the Jazz Up North series and Women In Song events at Tanks (both still running), Little Day Out youth festival (ran for 12+ years) and many many more.
