About On Edge

Now in its 6th year, On Edge Contemporary Media + Performance is an annual program of contemporary arts which strives to produce a Nationally and Internationally relevant program of independent new work, that traverses the various disciplines of performance, sound, screen, new media and installation.

On Edge is produced by independent artist and producer Nicholas Mills, and is presented across a variety of venues and locations in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia.

Far North Queensland is a diverse and curious landscape in which to present, practice and produce contemporary media and performance.....discreet audiences and a modest community of practitioners, and almost 2000km's from the nearest capital city.

Yet On Edge continues to facilitate the development of new work, encourage new young and emerging artists, develop new audiences, and build regional cutting edge practice into National contexts.
